A blakc furred jeweled head brushed over the girl's legs, large yellow-green eyes looking up toward her.

"If it's a purpose you need, you should seek the one whom came into this world without one, in the beginning. I believe currently, the one whom he protects is being watched by my kind, and I think it's time he found a new mistress."

He purred deeply, the gem flickering soundly.

"Perhaps with a protector, you can seek the purpose your goddess has given you. Your gift of sight."

The other kitten slinked up besided him, purring her own deep vibration of calm.

"We find you to be the most inviting. You'll not be shed of us easily."

Both lept and perched on her shoulders, feather light as not to burden her, or foul her wings.

"You see. We always watch."

"Only when actions are ripe will any of us act. Let us be your ears, we hear everything. But you must be quick to move, even now the night stalkers are starting their rounds. Lest you be their next meal, start south. Be quick, my lady."
