A pair of silver etched golden doors, whispering coming from beyond it. It was ajar, enough for one to peek in and evesdrop on the meeting within.

An older man, looking as though he might be reaching the end of his days at any moment stood tall, his face turned toward another who was standing out on the middle of the grand counsil's floor.

"And this is your final word?"

A man, no taller than an average man, his face plain, his eyes chocolate pools of calm. Is dress was odd, as though he was placed in the middle of the height of the Greek age, darned in only a multilayered toga.

"It is. I have made my judgement call, and it seems to be most fitting."

He stood before a grand counsil, jury like, men and women mingling with each other in thought and word. Heads nodded, some did not, others fell still as though no responce could be agreed on within their mind.

"Very well. If what you say is true, then we have no other choice."

The man smiled, a rare sight before this counsil. He was planning something. Everyone could feel it.

"My brothers and sisters, you know I speak true. The Guardians of the Weave, and the Spirits' watch have both proven most resourceful, and extremely loyal. Both have been watching over her, and they seem to agree with each other, however rare that becomes, that her suspension should be lifted. They've done their best to keep her safe, and now, I believe, it's time to bring her home."

A woman stood, aged yet wise, and well respected as the sudden chatter from the man's words quieted quickly.

"I however, believe that the former station this girl held is no longer suitable for her. A Watcher's duty of noninterference did prove very hard to maintain, concidering the record of this girl and her family. I trust you'll have a more suitable place for her, should we decide to allow her back?"

The man reguarded this wizened old woman with fond eyes.

"I have already found a station for her to fill. All I need is the Counsil's permission to exersise it."

A rippling murmur washed over the jury, voices mingling over each other. Both men and the old woman stood still as the others talked umoung themselves, then everything fell quiet as one by one hands raised into the air. All right hands.

The woman turned to the older man, nodded, then resumed her seat within the ocean of younger faces. Then the older man nodded once toward her and returned his attention to the young man in the middle of the floor.

"The counsil has decided. You may bring her."

"Very well."

Then the young man turned and walked out the etched doors and vanished around the corner.

The next moment he was walking through some trees into a clearing. There sitting on a smooth bolder surrounded by black cats and a very odd looking creature of odds and ends.

"Valenthe, it's time to go home, and I've got a new job for you as well."
