Turning away from a conversation he couldn't hear in annoyance, he strode down the myrid halls to the Treerunner's current prison. He wanted to see for himself how she was doing, and whether or not she was planning some new form of escape. He wasn't in the mood to amuse himself at the moment, though that could change. Velkra bowed low, the expression on the spidery face holding a hint of worry. The girl that was trussed up like a late night snack had stopped moving, stopped trying to sever the threads that bound her and made not a single noise in a very long time. He knew she still lived, her breath came and went from her lungs at regular intervals, something he could see by the faint heat it gave off, but no other sign was given that she still lived. Onimaru didn't look pleased at his report, but didn't lash out at him either. He shoved her prone body with one thick hooved foot roughly, and got no reaction. Snarling inwardly he stalked back to Crystin and spoke, not caring if her conversation was finished or not.

"The Treerunner does not move. She breathes, she lives, but it's as if her soul has fled her body. Could it be a beginning of a new escape attempt? Or did your little show with the mongrel push her over the edge?
