Well, we got the boys moved into college at Toledo. Kent's move on Thursday went very smoothly except he forgot his fan in a non-airconditioned dorm and somewhere we got the idea his dorm was carpeted but it wasn't so he'll need to bring one of our carpets. We stayed at a Comfort Inn on Thursday night and moved Kevin in at 9am on Friday. We had a few more problems there because of their beds being messed up and couldn't be bunked but we finally got it all straightened out. Both of their roommates seem very nice. Kevin's has a bunch of high school buddies going to school there so he isn't around much which makes it a little tougher for Kevin, but he seems to be doing fine. They are coming home for the long weekend. I'm anxious to see them. It is definitely different around the house without them. I have plenty of cleaning to do in closets and so forth to keep me busy for awhile though. After we took the boys out to lunch we headed for Athens and Kristy's White Coat ceremony and to move her to Columbus. Things were going too smoothly..we should have known. About an hour and a half from Columbus(we had to stop there on our way down to sign Kristy's lease and pick up the key) the van started making some herendous noise. Joe and I thought it was the transmission. So we took it easy and made it to Kristy's new apartment in Columbus. Signed the lease, got the key and then waited for Jessica to pick us up after she got off work at the day care and rode down to Athens with her. We got up early on Saturday and got the uhaul truck all packed up and then got ready for the ceremony at 11:00. It was a nice ceremony and the lunch afterwards was nice also. After that we went back to the apartment and pack up the last bits and pieces and were off to Columbus. With the Schmiesings help (Sam, Sue and Whitney) plus Jeff, Jessica, Kristy, Joe and myself we had the truck unloaded in Columbus in no time. We helped put things away for a little while but then Joe and I were anxious to get back on the road and see if we could get the van back to Coldwater in the daylight. We had no problems with it on the way home. Off course Joe took it very easy and didn't push his luck. So it is in the shop now being analyized as to what the problem is and trying to get it fixed by Thursday so we can move Jessica to her new apartment in Columbus. Kristy's apartment is very nice. She has all kinds of news to tell everyone (don't get too excited..it's not diamond news..unless she hasn't told me yet..sorry about your luck Larry)but I'll let her tell you that if she gets her internet up and running.
Amy's teaching in Ft Recovery seems to be going well. She already had a fog day last Friday but she was at school almost the whole day anyway.
Joe has been in Atlanta all week. Tonight the guy he went down to go on calls with is taking him to a Braves game. He was looking forward to that.
Well, better get to work. Everyone take care and have a fun and safe holiday weekend. Summer is really over when labor day is over.
