We had a great time in the outer banks. It rained like crazy Sunday driving down and was beautiful there after til Sat night when we had a spectacular lightning storm. We hit the beach every day, the kids were going out inthe waves toward the end of the week, Haley conquered her fear of the sand after the 1st day, we did sand castles, hunted for shells etc. The guys played golf and fished. We got some really nice family pictures done. John put some of his didgital ones on the computer. you can view them at http://photos.yahoo.com/johnlaulis.
Julie went back to Phoenix on Sat, said they had big mess to clean up because of a wind and rain storm with 90 mi/hr winds which dumped 3 in of rain in 1 hr. Marty headed back to N.O. Sun night. Allison and Joe went back to c'ville sun am, Allison's grandmother who is 81 had an emergency appendectomy on Fri night. Allison's parents were out of town too so she had to take herself to the hospital but they say she went home yesterday. Jim did yard work and I canned 21 quarts of tomatoes and froze peppers. We brought home a 5 gal bucket of tomatoes, bucket of cucumbers and peppers and yellow squash which he didtributed to the neighbors. Finally the mail has been sorted, all the towels and sheets laundered and the refrig restocked. I go back to Kaiser tomorrow for 3 days in a row. I went to the eye Dr. today and found out they are still healthy and I probably don't need to purchase new glasses. Julie has her colonoscpy today, I hope she gets a good report too. Mom sounded pretty out of sorts when I called on Sat. Hope her heel is feeling better. They say John is doing fine, I'll see him tomorrow and bring him home on Sat for some R&R
