• "Hey..." She sighed the word in quiet relief as she padded out of the bedroom to meet him. All this was hard on her too, but there was nothing she could do, so she just dealt with it as best she could. But she was tense so much of the time, and Luca was picking up on it, which made her just have to lie even more - which just stressed her out more. It was of some small comfort and such a relief though that she always knew he was around. She found herself spending much of her time with her boyfriend just wishing that he would leave so that Brett could come in. Satiny yellow lounging pants hanging from her hips and a sheer white camisole fit to her torso, hair down around her shoulders in dark, loose waves, it was obvious that she had just been lazing around all evening.. • He came forward to press a warm kiss to her lips, the hint of possesiveness he always carried being carefully reigned in even as his fingers curled around her exposed hip bone. • "How's my boy?" Her tone was soft and totally adoring after their brief kiss broke, and a hand slipped down his arm as his lips found her neck. Sighing quietly when he shifted backwards, she let him go for only a moment, but then her fingers curled into his shirt as she eased herself back close to him and both arms then wrapped slowly but tightly around his neck. • He closed his arms firmly around her, letting out a soft breath as he nuzzled her neck softly. "Other then missin' you? I am alright..." He sighed softly, winking gently at her as he soothed back her hair gently. "How are you doin'?" One eyelid dropped in a wink before she settled for just hugging him tightly for a long moment, and then finally drew back just so that she could gaze up at him, the backs of her fingers slipping in slow circles around his stomach before tucking into the waist of his pants. • "I'm always hungry. I think missing you does it to me." He stated, grinning gently before he shifted out of her arms to head over to the kitchen in order to scope out what she had. His gun was still tucked securely into his jacket pocket - which he was grateful of as he heard the faint click of the door leading to her floor close. Inhaling a soft breath, her brows furrowed gently and she just watched him - unsure what was exactly was happening, but just trusting that he would know, and would know what to do. A hand on his broad chest, she reached up to kiss his cheek lightly. "What'd you forget? Can I get you anything?" She was straining to stay calm and natural which was hardly an easy task when she had Luca standing infront of her and Brett just a couple yards away in the kitchen. • Luca's thin lips pursed, his brow furrowed as he wrapped one strong arm around her waist, pulling her straight to his broad chest. "Don't lie to me." He growled lightly into her ear, his dark eyes centering down on her. Keeping a firm hold on her, he ventured farther down the hallway - his hand wrapped around her hip much as Brett's had been before. Sharp eyes were looking towards the bedroom - missing the way that Brett creeped up behind them - so silent he wasn't even detectable yet. This was mess, it wasn't how he wanted things to go - he hadn't wanted Dom here when he confronted Lucas, to much danger and mayhem for her to be completely safe. • "Luca.." She frowned a little and shifted slightly from his tight grip - not moving away from him so much as just trying to get him to loosen his hold on her. "C'mon, honey, there's no one here.. • He barely resisted cursing beneath his breath as he watched Luca's tight hold on her. His brow furrowed as he slowly withdrew the hand gun from his pocket, taking a quick step forward to grab Luca's arm, pressing the gun to his back. "Let her go." He stated lowly, his eyes dark and completely focused on the task at hand until Luca shoved Dom violently forward into the glass partition between the two rooms. Picturing that shattering and her cutting herself up, his focus was broken for a moment giving Luca the opportunity to turn and clock him heavily in the jaw - giving the man enough time to knock the gun loose and then make a break for the door... • She had only time to cry out Brett's name as Luca shoved her away, and then she hit the glass hard and she lost sense of everything that was going on - except she was vaguely aware of the sound of fist hitting flesh and was unconsciously waiting to hear a gunshot. • He was so sorely tempted to go after Luca but he knew the man would be long gone and wouldn't be back for awhile so instead he went to Dom - not even feeling the pain that would be soon radiating from his jaw. "Dom, baby..." He murmured, kneeling down beside her and helping her to sit up. "Look at me sweetheart, come on, focus on me." He just wanted to make sure she wasn't seriously injured though from he had saw it just looked like a nasty bump to the head. • Her brows furrowed gently as she shifted to sit up, one hand moving to rub her head as her eyes fluttered open again and she met his gaze. Sighing deeply, she rested her head back against the wall and reached out slowly to brush her fingers down his cheek. "Brett... Are you okay?" She didn't care about anything else but him and making sure that he was alright - that was the scariest thing about all this, was knowing that he was constantly putting himself in danger. • "Hurts a bit..." She admitted with a low breath and then shifted to stand after him, brows furrowed and one hand still on her head which was throbbing more than she was willing to admit. "Could've gone worse... I'm just glad you're okay..." She ducked herself underneath his arm, close to the comfort of his warm, strong body - though his tense muscles hardly helped to relax anyone. She didn't know what to do - her head hurt, she was sure his jaw had to hurt, and Luca was gone but there was no saying for how long. She knew that the man would never just let her go. • He would have to be an idiot to come back for her anytime soon - Luca knew now that a federal agent was close on his tale and not only that - that same federal agent was in his house, with access to anything he kept there. With a sigh he soothed his hand over her back before he just held her for a long moment, his lips pressed to her forehead. "Go take some alieve sweetheart and get some ice on that bump to relieve the swelling - don't fall asleep." His voice invited no arguements even though it wasn't harsh in the least - he was just taking charge in a serious manner. • "Are you sure you're okay?" She questioned before she moved away from him, a hand brushing down his swollen jaw tenderly. Though definitely thankful that he was there to take charge and because he knew what to do, it was her turn to play the concerned woman, and she wanted to make sure that there was nothing she could get him before she tended to herself. His gaze was nothing less then adoring as he sighed, dropping his lips to hers for a brief moment. • She offered him a small smile at that and sighed as she met his lips in return sweetly. Eyes lightly shut for a long moment before she just met his gaze tenderly, she then nodded and reluctantly stepped back from him and headed into the kitchen to take care of the bump on her head - to make him feel better more than anything. She couldn't believe all that had just happened and, frankly, couldn't have been happier with how it had gne. Nothing had been settled except maybe now he could send some proof over to headquarters to allow him to have more time here on his assignment and mission to bring Luca and all his lackeys down. As much as she just wanted to relax, it was hard when she was still so worried about Luca coming home, but she did trust him and trusted his judgement - that he would know how long they could stick around and when they should get going. • Luca wasn't going to be coming back here as far as Dom could judge. The man had property all over the world - now that he knew the feds had their eye on this place - he would be hiding out for awhile. Sure, Dom was a loss because she was a great girl but she wasn't a risk since she didn't know anything at all. Almost an hour later, Brett came out of the office - finally shedding his jacket and heading over to close the curtains and lock the door - just out of habit, before he sat down on the edge of the couch - gazing down at her. • "I'm okay... You?" She cuddled up close to him, her head resting in his lap and one hand draped over his leg, eyes up on him. All she wanted was for things to be simple and easy for them - didn't they deserve a bit of a break? Shifting to sit up, she crawled into his lap and cuddled against his chest, gaze then meeting his once again, lips brushing the side of his mouth slowly. "So am I staying with you tonight now?" • "I am alright..." His jaw was a little swollen but other then that he was fine. He sighed softly, resting his hand in her hair for a moment. He was glad that things had gone they way they had now that he thought about it. He didn't want her to witness him shooting her boyfriend or anything like that. Talk about traumatizing. Hs hand shifted through her hair lovingly, easingly soothing her without words for a long moment. "Yeah, if its ok with you, I would like you to stay with me for awhile.."
