Subject: Referee's call

I do not think I have ever made a call that was out of line until tonight. We did not have enough cars to make this a sanction race due to the threat of bad weather. One driver blew his motor and I allowed this driver to switch cars and retain his starting position for the main. I only wanted to put on the best show possible with as few as cars as we had. I regret letting this happen for it was against all rules that I support and believe in. Every single call that I have made has always been within the guidelines of the rule book and the benefit for all except for tonight, and this I regret. To the person that protested this tonight, for I would not let him do it a couple of weeks ago I owe no apology, but to everyone else I am sorry for letting this happen.
