Ensor interview at halftime -- Stagophile, 07:59:09pm 01/20/06 Fri, [1]
Ben Doddy just interviewed Commissioner Ensor...
- Pleased with RPI being as high as 8th this year reflecting that the MAAC is capable of putting a good product on the floor.
- Looking to expand ESPNU relationship next year to gain national exposure.
- Rider is good 0-6 team.
- The MAAC Tournament is structured to reward inseason play giving a double bye to the #1 seed and a single bye to the #2,3 and 4 seeds.
- Selected AHY for 2007 MAAC Tournament given that Fairfield is founding MAAC member and proximity to Iona and Manhattan.
- Just signed contract with AHY and hotel (didn't say which one). The first planning meeting is next week.

ESPNU -- StinkyCheese, 09:15:38pm 01/20/06 Fri, [1]
Is it just me or is ESPNU (whatever that is) not available in NY Metro?
I was told its only in a few states.
I would think that if a League contract was signed, the games should at least be available to view by a couple of schools, yes?

No defense, no rebounding, let Whittenton get 8 three pointers (8 of 13).
Not even close. Loyola now becomes a must win to stay afloat

Re: Fairfield @ Marist, 51-31 Halftime -- Loyola211, 09:00:30pm 01/20/06 Fri, [1]
Was just listening to the game with a few students here at the university, and they agreed this has gotta be one of the worst games of the season. It was even more of a tough loss because there was a six-way tie for fourth place.
The season could be over if the road trip doesnt end with a win.

Home Court Advantage!!! -- Stagophile, 09:08:04pm 01/20/06 Fri, [1]
The thing that stood out to me was how loud the McCann Center was. Clearly, the place is real home court advantage for the Red Foxes. The place was sold out. The students were cheering the whole game. And the pep band sounded great. The McCann Center is exactly what I remember Alumni Hall being like during my days at Fairfield...the place would literally shake from the fans being so loud animated. No matter where we play, the Stags desperately need to find that home court advantage again!!!

Where are we going? -- Rave, 10:02:36pm 01/20/06 Fri, [1]
I absolutely cannot take this anymore. We are by far the worst coached team I have seen all year. High School teams play better defense than us. I have never seen so many unimpeded lay ups inside and wide open three point shots. Any college player should hit 50% of their three point attempts if left wide open. The first half was played like it was an exhibition game; eg. constant changing of players. TOT has no feel for the game and I believe is lost. Our players are not as bad as they look. Triple teaming the ball will always lead to a lay up or wide open 3. This guy's reputation as a bench coach is well deserved. This is TERRIBLE!

MOS -- Stagophile, 10:18:51pm 01/20/06 Fri, [1]
The boxscore shows that MOS was 0-1 tonight with 0 minutes. Did TOT really put him in during the last minute? And if he did play, why bother at this late point in the game and the season for that matter? Please tell me this is an error!!!

Re: Fairfield @ Marist, 51-31 Halftime -- GoStags, 10:34:30am 01/23/06 Mon, [1]
I was at the game and MOS was sitting behind the bench in street clothes so i have no idea why it would have him in the game.
