Subject: Stags top 3 point and foul shooting team in Maac

There has been a lot of focus on our weak defensive and our losses this year. I have been among the first to question of defense and defensive strategy. But there are some positives, Han's play, the improvement of MVS and Middleton, and the recent play of Herbie Allen. I know the record stands at 4-8 but the team is 3-2 since the addition of Mamadou and Maxwell. We'll learn whether this team is heading in the right direction at the end of this road swing. I don't expect them to win the Maac, but I think they will stay out of the bottom 5.

The Stags lead the maac in 3 point shooting percentage and Foul shooting percentage.

The team is 3-1 since the addition of Max and Mamadou!

Lowest turnovers per game at 12 per game, and largest turnover margin as we have more that 4+ turnovers less that our opponents.

We are shooting exactly 40% from 3. At Doc's Roundtable in Nov, TOT was asked what 3-point FG% do we need to shoot and he quickly said 40%.... I thought to myself WOW, but never thought we would actually get to that point. 6 players with double digit three's

Herbie - 58%
MVS - 49%
Han - 45%
Bell - 38%
Oglesby - 38%
Todd - 33%

Herbie was shooting 34% from three point range heading into the last game, I don't think he has enough shots for his statistics to be truely meaningful. But MVS and Han have enough shots that their 3 point percentage is really something to take notice of. Only 11 times in the history of the program has a Fairfield player finished a season shooting above 40% from outside the arc. These are good numbers that will be difficult to sustain.
