In reply to: SaintlySaint 's message, "You missed the point" on 10:15:49pm 01/05/06 Thu,

Reread my post, I said I agreed. What would you have liked me to say...... that the announcers should have repeatedly said that the loss of the great Mensah was the turning point.

I agree Mensah's loss was a factor, but Fairfield came back repeatedly in this game..... if Mensah was in the game or not. The game went from a 10 point Siena lead to 3 point Siena lead on 4 or 5 occassions. IMO, the bigger key was the insertion of Mamadou into the game and his agressive play. Unfortunately he got his 4th foul and then fouled out or we would have beaten you by more :-)

Fairfield would get close, then Siena would go back out to a 12 point lead. That's been the pattern all year, nothing different there, except Fairfield was a bit easier to get a lead on.

It didn't start getting close until after Kojo got hurt. Kojo went out in the 1st half, guess Huessler didn't mention that either.

I don't know exactly when Mensah was hurt, but I know Siena scored the last 10 points of the half, all Fisher and Beers. So I think Siena created their 12 point halftime lead without Mensah in the line-up.

Fairfield finally took a lead in the 2nd half, but I think that was due more to Mamadou and Max.
