I don't have a link to the story, but in today's NY Post, Dan Martin - a Fairfield alum, I believe? - has a story in which former Fordham coach Bob Hill trashes the program saying "It's not a Division I school."

Hill says the Rams should go to Division III.

"It's a fine school and you can get a good Jesuit education there," Hill says. "But if you're not going to spend the money on sports, take what little you do spend and put it toward academics or fixing up the buildings they want to and be done with it."

Sound familiar?

Eerilly familiar! :-) Supporting Division I sports is big business these days that cannot be successful unless fully supported. While Hill has very little credibility, there is some truth in his comments.
