Maxwell is not a savior. But if he could supply 7 or 8 rebounds a game, 53% shooting (last year he was 3rd in the Maac in this regard) and average 10+ points a game (something he did last year) the stags would take that. Maxwell should also provide some inside scoring to balance the stags offense, I think it would help the team a lot. We have lost three close games where he might have made the difference. More importantly, he gives the team depth in the middle something they lack today.

So while we are on the topic...we obviously need anything at this point to win a game. but would you put Max in there with todd and risk losing team chemistry???

I agree that Maxwell is not a savior, but he is an All-MAAC, and he gives us what we need up front as an inside scorer, a rebounder, and athletic player, and somesone who can "D" up his man especially in the MAAC. Maxwell is not the total answer, as we need 2 players (1 additional to Max) upfront that can be a player.

But Maxwell has been more than just solid player where we need to keep the expections low on him, especially if you look at some of his stats in just MAAC games. 13ppg, 6rpg and 56% shoooting in the MAAC. And look what he does in big games, especially when he is match-up with CJ Anderson 22pts, 7rebs..... 19pts, 9 rebs, and 17pts and 9rebs in the MAAC touney. Those type of numbers are not just a step-up from what we are getting this year, they are a double or triple step-up. He has also been a very good defender .

I don't want to put him on a pedestal, but, if we are talking MAAC Games, then the numbers speak for themselves. He is what he is..... and thats a former All MAAC player who the coaches predicted for 2nd team this year. I had the bar set high for him this year, and I hope he can still reach those goals.

Now there are question Marks:

- Max does get into foul trouble so we need more
- Max has stuggled against against the big OOC 6-8 opponents, but those games are past us
- Will there be a chemistry issue of him returning. I am assuming there wont be if TOT is letting him back.
- Is Max still in shape physically and mentally
- Was Max good because he had Gai next to him..... well he played some of his best ball when he played with Robbie Thomson 2 years ago.

We now need Mamadou to be a player, Middleton to continue to improve, or MOS make a quick recovery.
