Joe, I would be happy with just the second part of your stateemnt "We get back to our 19 win seasons or better, and win some MAAC Championships".

I have absolutely nothing against SHU and wish them all the best, hope they do win some championships. But dont see how them joining the MAAC would be a good thing for the Stags? I am suprised to hear you say that.A Holy Cross or Fordham rejoining the MAAC would be a good thing for the MAAC and the stags.

JS you are right on about one thing - SHU is improving.

First, the SHU women already have 2 wins over Big East teams (Providence and Syracuse). They are now the favorite to win the NEC and grab the NCAA bid. With Rozzitti in Hartford having another great season, the story this March will be UConn, Hartford and Sacred Heart!

As for the men, they are maybe one more season away from challanging for the NEC, but so I wouldn't schedule them soon if I were a FU fan. With Trim, Frye, Hobson, Granto, and a healthy Henley (plus Big Deli in the wings), The Pioneers will soon challange the rest of the state for bragging rights as the "Best non-Big East team in Connecticut." They have no seniors of consequense this year and will be even better next season. Watch out for them in 2006.

As for your suggested conference change, that wouldn't do FU or anybody any good. Furthermore, SHU isn't going anywhere.
