You lost.

Open the Washington Post sports section this morning to see Fairfield in a headline. Regrettably it was for the women's team's loss to #1 Duke yesterday.

Final Score: Duke 110 Fairfield 44

Well, as they say, there's no such thing as bad publicity.

Another sad commentary on the state of athletics at Fairfield. And all of these ladies are on scholarship!

RM,
I've run a few marathons, although it may be generous to call what I do "running a marathon". My goal is always to get from start to finish & not be the last runner, so far so good.

I assume you're still running. If you are you might want to consider the Senior Games out here in St.George, Utah. They are held every October, beautiful time of the year out here. I ran the Half Marathon last year. If you want any info email me @ rsantangelo03@aol.com.

Other than a check, what exactly do you get out of scheduling Duke and losing by 65? Kudos to Coach Nolan for this great idea.

What is the paycheck for a women's game against a top 25 program? I believe a men's game can fetch up $100K.
