It wasn't that she didn't want to talk to him - but she knew that this conversation would be as stressful for her as the last, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one after this would be. • She sighed a little in response to his repetition, still remaining for the majority quiet - uncertain about this entire situation. She couldn't handle him continuing to tell her that he loved her - it seemed like, especially in this situation, just a bandaid to try and cover over the bad stuff. "How do you feel about that?" • She'd always been a little overaggressive with him, a little bit dangerous, since that first day in the park when she'd slapped his face. She let out a long breath through her nose. "You wanna come back over here tonight? It's lonely." She kept telling herself, or had, at that time, that she was manipulating him to get what she wanted and needed.
