Badly is an adverb. Bad is an adjective.

I feel bad.

In this instance, the verb "feel" implies emotions or state of physical being. The adjective "bad" modifies "feel," and describes your emotions or physical condition at the time.

I feel badly.

In this instance, the adverb badly describes how you feel (i.e. with your fingers, etc.), and it is implied that something is impairing your ability to literally feel.

Therefore, the statement, "That must make you feel bad," is correct.

Have a nice day. ;-)
