"It was implied that this was God's punishment for leaving UBF"

And..enjoying skiing too, I bet. Before UBF, winter outdoor activity had a healthy part in our lives. I really enjoyed skating at the rink, while listening to waltz music (if you can believe it). A great way to enjoy the winter. But the UBF missionaries wouldn't have anything to do with it. Most never even watched a hockey game. Winter was wasted.

I'm starting to rethink how to live. Nordic skiing is a great cardiac activity, and is lower impact than jogging. Almost went out and bought some nordic ski's two weeks ago. No question, its a great family activity and you can enjoy the winter this way with others, friends.

Chris, your son's having a great time. He understands what I haven't understood in long time. When your a kid, sledding is a lot of fun. Adults should get out there too. I guess you have some good hills/slopes in your neighbourhood? What kind of sleds do you have over there? Your conventional wooden bobsleds, toboggans, "crazy carpets" etc ?
