I have no way of knowing for sure, but I would bet that the majority voted for Bush if they didn't write in Lee or Barry :). I would also bet that the majority of Mormons (Utah went to Bush) and Moonies (Washington Times) also voted for Bush.

I would consider myself an evangelical Christian, but I personally voted for Bush mainly based on my foreign policy concerns. But they are saying that the big issue for evangelicals who voted was the moral direction of America.

They are saying that polls show that the war on terrorism was a second or third concern with most voters. Most seemed to be concerned about the economy. I think you are right that most people were reluctant to make a change in the middle of a war. Still the election race turned out to be pretty close.
