"Palestine" belongs to God's people the Israelites or Jews.

You are right, Palestine has always belonged to the Jews, since it has been promised to Abraham. Jersualem has always been the capitol of Israel, but has been taken in by various aggressors, including the Babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar and the Roman imperator Titus. And in 1077 there was an invasion by the muslims who declared Jerusalem their holy city. This was the starting point of all the conflicts between Jews and Muslims. Another problem that has not changed throughout the centuries are the foreign people living in Israel and making a lot of trouble. Now they are the Palestinians, earlier they have been the "Kanaanites."

I believe that as long as the Jews don't open their hearts for their Meshiach Yeschuah, God doesn't want Jerusalem to belong to them completely. The Palestinians are a kind of scourge for them, just as the Kanaanites and occupying forces from various countries have always been in the history of Israel, you can see the same pattern throughout the whole old testiment. The problem will not be solved by brute force, but only by the Jews repenting and coming back to God, which will happen one day, maybe soon. Then, the whole country will be given back to the Jews, and people from all around the world, even Palestinians, will travel to Jerusalem to worship God.

This is what the LORD Almighty says: "In those days ten men from all languages and nations will take firm hold of one Jew by the hem of his robe and say, 'Let us go with you, because we have heard that God is with you.'"

All of this may sound irrational, but it is a Biblical promise and I believe God will do it in His time.
