I dont want to get too involved in the Palestinian problem, because like most of those who write here I am no expert on the subject. I accept that to Christians this is a very emotional subject because it involves the Promised Land, and The Children of Israel.
It seems to me there is not much sympathy towards the Palastinians here, and I can understand why.
I confess I dont know what is the Christian answer to this problem. On the one hand we have the promise that this was the land given by God to the Children of Israel. On the
Other hand it seems to me that the way the Palastinians have been treated since 1948 causes me no suprise that there should be a big terrorist problem there.
What is my authority for saying these things. Well some time ago my wife and I invited a Palastinian, Murrad to stay with us over one Christmas, he ended up staying three weeks. We learned what happened to his family in 1948, when his family were kicked out without warning from the country they had come to consider theirs.
As a young man when I first started work in the shoe factory where I worked for 32 years, a large number of my British work collegues had served in the British Army in Palastine, so I remember listening to their experiences of the things that were done to the Palastinians. (In all honesty they also had a lot of very complimentary things to say about the Jews) This is where my opinions were formed on this very real problem. Which could go on to effect each one of us. I admit I dont have any real answers. But the truth is that this question about who is right and who is wrong is a lot more complicated than most of you think it is. I am not coming down on any side
