Oh! Chris, you are way off on this one! Nixon and Bush are opposites! Why do you say they are similar? Bush is a very secure and comfortable person. He is someone you could sit down and have a beer and talk about football. Nixon was a very 'uptight' and cold person who seemed uncomfortable in his own skin. Bush is from the South, Nixon from California. Nixon was certainly far more secular then Bush.
I suppose you could say they were both wartime presidents. Although, Nixon inherited the Vietnam War from Lyndon Johnson in 1968-1969.

In America, at least in the mainstream press, no such comparison has been made between Nixon and Bush.

Of course there is small percentage that will always hate republicans.
