I should add that it was Kennedy's doctrines (resolute, uncompromising opposition to communism) that may have eventually led to the demise of communism. On the other hand, Nixon seemed to have another approach; he went to China. And today, China makes virtually all the toys and appliances that Americans buy. Nixon was more interesting than most people know.
