Hello, I'm looking to buy a beginner road bike preferably a sport leisure. With the top tube about 50cm. I'm 5ft 2" but was told I have a very long upper body with shorter legs. If anyone has a used bike they would like to sell or have any sugestions that would be great!
Thanks for your help,
Tarra

You'll find that American frames such as LeMond and Cannondale tend to be longer, and euro frames tend to be shorter, so for your long torso an American frame would likely work better.
I build and rebuild bicycles, having been involved in cycling since the 70's, and have built bikes for several EBTC members, and can let you know what fitting worked for them.
It's too involved to completely explain bike fitting in a short message, but if you'd like to discuss it, you can call me (Alan Schietzsch) at 455-1924.

Hi Tarra:

I am selling my Giant 0CR 3 bike - I just posted it to the discussion forum. I am 5' 3" -- the bike is 44 cm -- I found it to be a little big for myself.

If you would like to try it out give me a call (780) 437-7747. It is a great entry road bike, I am selling it with a computer and tri-bars.
