As you have seen most of the people have been reffering to the weather in their town or city that is heating up, probaly the reason for this is because their city is growing, and as it grows more streets are added, which actually raise the temp of a certain area, which is why you can't rely on what you view just outside your house.

Also humans have not been recording the earths temp for long enough to know whether or not the earth really is warming, they just assume it is becuz of carbon dioxide(and we all know to assume makes an ASS out of U and ME, hehe), if we had information on it over the last thousand years and it was clearly going in a upward trend then i would say yes we're all screwed but we havent been doin it for that long so i say screw all of that.The earth does go through cycles u know.

One last thing, as SF said methane gas is also a green house gas, but it does a much better job than CO2 and their is a layer of it under the ocean floor so all those drills for oil out in the ocean that are realeasing that gas are speeding up the global warming process by something like 10 times its normal, who cares bout CO2, im worried bout methane.
