Subject: a nice trip to d.c.

just wanted you close friends to know that i had a wonderful trip to the opening of the national museum of the american indian in washington, d.c.

but beyond that,i discovered that I truly, dearly love my relatively new wife -- Jennifer Gail Hicks Pego. She put on a very successful workshop for computer gurus at a federaly agency. And beyond that, we had a remarkable journey that seemed to be walking along the edge of the cosmos at times. I wrote songs with a homeless (but rich spirited) man at daw. We saw the best jazz/blues/funk band I've ever seen and continue to be in touch with its members. I meet a cool new friend, who works with musicians and information.

And i saw a performer play the cedar flute and play a song to the birds. a small bird flew down and looked at all of us, just outside of the national indian museum. it was amazingly spiritual.

And Jennifer and I continued to find out more about each other. Life is great.
