Date Posted: 20:40:00 08/21/04 Sat "Monday, 1/19/04 w/ Daughter" Arrived at the pier by 10:45 AM, and dropped our lines between the 1st and 2nd row benches and BAM got hit right away by Shiner Perch with the size of my hand between 7-8 inches. I said to my daughter, I think it would be fun today. We were using sabiki rigs and 2 oz, on our next cast my daughter got hit BAM, double hook, and told her to crank slowly or will lose the fishes. Great to see that smile and complain how hard to crank the reel on retriving the fish. I tried using grubs 1 1/2 motor oil no hit, and my daughter was making fun of me, telling me to use sabiki rigs but these were new grubs that I got, and testing them out unfortunately zip nada 0.
