Date Posted: 21:29:47 08/21/04 Sat The State Lands Commission approved our request for a lease amendment to allow us to set up two mooring buoys and a bait reciever adjacent to the pier- We are continuing to work with our concessionaire to get the sport fishing operation underway- I will be meeting with them next week to establish a timetable to begin boat operations- Now that we have a place to tie up the boats we should be able to get started soon- The other parts of the concession are still being negotiated- Malibu Chamber of Commerce will be having their annual installation dinner on the pier in May. We aprehended a fisherman with a short halibut last week and continue to have plain clothes officers at the pier looking for Fish and Game violations.
