(She let out a soft breath, feeling reassured. She was just as young as Bree, just as naive about children and labor and was not at all looking forward to that part of it. She would be much happier at just having her baby appear like Ember had. Her gaze moved over to her mate as though she wanted to make sure that Bree was telling the truth, and was reassured when he smiled at her, nodding that their bairn wouldn't be as difficult as the four eggs ahd been. Her eyes narrowed on Aubrey, and she made a little sound.) I would've thought that one would be the easiest.. but then she is moody like her mother.. (She teased, which made Aubrey duck behind Dane's head and curl up in the spot between thenape of his neck and the chair.) (He was finally catching his breath, and listened as his mate assured Evie that her birthing would be much easier, and rip free. He didnt want to even start recalling what Bree had gone through during her labor, because it made him tense and agitated. He really really didn't want to picture his poor mate in so much pain, and recall the helplessness he had felt. Her words and then her thoughts washed over him and he could only smile back at her, because she had been so brave and had made it through everything.. they had done this together from start to finish and she was safe now. That was all he cared about. And now he had the bonus of his whelps. He narrowed his gaze on Durgan and hissed.) I wouldnae begin to talk if I were ye, brethair. (He said with a scoff of his own. He mentally called upon one of the maids to bring food for his hungry mate, having distinctly heard her stomach growl that time. If she wasn't going to get food, then he was going to get it for her. That was his duty. He was stroking Aubrey's tail as she lay against his neck, letting it wrap around the end of his finger before pulling free and starting over. By the time playing in the snow was brought up, she had started to purr and was even nuzzling the side of his neck below his ear.) I dinnae if that's good for Evie.. (He said, looking over even as Evie was making little shivery movements. She didn't have her own fire, so she relied on Durgan's. For all he knew, Durgan would just keep her warm in his own way.. but he didn't want his sister in law uncomfortable. He looked down at Liam and Roarke, who had tumbled onto the floor and were wrestling again.) Might tire them out though.. (He said thoughtfully, then smiled.. it would be fun for him as well, to play in the snow with his boys.)
