For those of you going to internationals, here it is mere days before you depart for Las Vegas. I think I might get as anxious as all of you do. I imagine you are working at least as hard as those with whom I have had the pleasure of working this past year. I am very proud of all of them.
As well as being a part of team Madison prior to her capturing last years International Mini Miss crown, at this years Arizona pageant, of those who placed in each divisions top five, I worked with 11 including 1 overall winner. I believe that preparation, persistence and consistency has led all of them to their successes. And perhaps most of all, it was their focus. In these final days before the pageant, people will sometimes lose their focus because of all of the packing and running around to make sure that they have all that is needed for the week ahead. My suggestion is everyday from now until Sunday, take some time to focus on what it is that you want to accomplish this year in Las Vegas. Focus on how you can let yourself get out of your own way so the “true you” can shine through. If you are trying to be something you think they want yo to be, the judges my miss the opportunity to see who you really are. Focus on how you can best present yourself in every aspect of the pageant.
If there is anything that I can do to help you, I still have a couple of openings for the week, and will always try to make myself available for those who want to book an individual hour throughout the week. I am pasting below one mother’s perspective on “why a coach.” And as always, if you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
I look forward to seeing all of you that I have had the pleasure meeting in the past, as well as the new faces at Cinderella internationals 2008.

“I never really looked for someone to coach my daughters, thinking that we participate in pageants for the experience, not the win. Of course, we all desire that "win", but it is not our focus, it is something to strive for. While striving for this goal, each year they work harder on talent, and learn more about themselves and how to prepare to do their best. Every year they gain something, and most years they come away feeling they did their best. It is however, the years that they did not feel they were at their best, for whatever reasons, that I thought having someone else's one-on-one help might make the difference between hearing "I had a great time", or "I had an amazing time, and I made top 10!" (or whatever other recognition they may have received). We spend so much time looking for the perfect outfits, finding the best music...spending a lot of time and money; why not invest in "the individual"? That is what you did, Adam, you really helped the girls bring themselves out in *EACH* area of competition. They felt more confident, and maybe even a little more "special" inside. It did not take long for you to zero in on their individual personalities, and help them bring out what *they* wanted to bring out, instead of telling them what to do, when to do it, and how. When they experienced "pageant stress", you were there to bring them back to where they needed to be, happy and positive. They were ready for each day of competition. My job as mom became a lot easier because of you being there for them. Thank you, we look forward to working with you more.”
