I would just like to congratulate you on winning the North Carolina Cinderella Woman title! I'm not even sure if you remember me, but I am so excited to see you at Internationals this year! (I remember you were the one holding my hands as they were announcing the Top 10 last year...you were so sweet!) You were definitely one of the sweetest Cinderella girls I've met and one of my favorite singers to watch! I hope you have an amazing year reigning as NC Woman and I look forward to seeing you!

Hi all!

I've waited to share our news with everyone, but I've accepted a job teaching at a high school in Fayetteville. I have to report by August 14th! Soooooo the Porter Family is making a whirlwind move across the state (we live in Catawba County right now).

I do need a little help -- does anyone know of a good dance studio in the area? Carissa and Elena have taken from Ann Freeman Dance Academy in Hickory for 2 years now and we don't want to take a break ;).

We're looking forward to meeting our Cindy Sisters and Brothers from the other end of our state!

Dear Cinderella Family,
About 17 yrs. ago there was a little girl who stood on your State Finals stage, having never done a State Competition before and was most excited at meeting new friends and seeing the "Pumpkin Coach" come in. She didn't place in the top 5 girls in her division but she was given a "special award" being the contestant with the "Most Potential". She asked me as a child what that meant, and the easiest way I could explain that to her was that the Directors and the Judge's saw something in her that was special and if she worked very hard on finding it she could one day be a State Queen. and her reply was " you mean someone liked my dance other than my Mom, you have to cause you are Mom"! During the years when a Teacher or a situation challanged her I would use that analogy at times again they are doing so because they see something inside you that tells them you can do more, and then she understood. it took her a while but she decided after going through some really tough times that there was something there that " deserved more" and she decided to do something about it. A weight loss of half her body weight, working on her voice and her music, but most of all believing in herself to compete not once, not twice, but three times at State to attain her goal.
This is what the Cinderella System is to us. It is not all about "winning a title, or wearing a crown" which are wonderful experiences, but also gaining self confidence, self esteem, finding the "potential" that others see in you, and doing your best at it, and sharing your talents and gifts with your community. And most of all, the lifelong friends you make who often make you feel like you have been a family member for a long time! We as Parents thank the system for honesty, fairness, but most of all the love you have shown to our daughter as well as hundreds of other daughter's and sons through the years.
I believe with all my heart that the experience in this system will somehow produce knowledge of some of life's lessons that some never attain.
We are so proud of that young girl who is now a Young Woman, and proudly wears the Crown of 2008/2009 Cinderella Woman, AMANDA BARZDINS, your family always knew you could do it, but most of all, are so glad that YOU believed YOU COULD!!!!! That was the biggest step to make, and we watched you struggle with it for a long time, but the wonderful woman you are and the encouragement it took from a lot of people was worth it, you have attained also that goal of being a role model for others ,we know how important that has always been for you as well!!
Tracey, Aimee, Miss Jackie, and all the Prelim Directors, along with Ms. Clara, we thank you all from our hearts for all the hard work you do through the years for all contestants. You never know what words you say will impact life's so many years later, but they DO!!
We look forward to a great year with this wonderful Court,who we congratulate as well, (each of you bring unique talents and personality's to the court) and many years in the future being involved with this system in some way.
Remember "ONE SHOE CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE"!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello everyone, Hope this email finds you all having a Great Summer. We are somewhat rested now...but in Full swing trying to round up clothes and costumes for our own kids...haha!

A meeting will be held this Sunday, June 29th at 3:00 pm at Coyotes in Concord, NC for everyone interested in competing at the International pageant in Las Vegas this year. We have a great group going and we just know NC will bring home some winners this year. Thank you Hope for donating the place for this meeting.

The address for Coyotes is: 290 Copperfield Blvd. Concord, NC 28027. Please let us know if you are not attending but plan on going to Vegas. We are planning wardrobe, practicing modeling, and possible interview...whatever time permits. This will be very helpful to all the kids in preparing for the pageant.

We are planning a Consignment Sale for all those wanting to raise money for Vegas...We need EVERYONE'S HELP!!!! If you are not planning on participating that is fine but we would just hope that everyone would pass the info onto friends and family. We will be placing a banner on the Cinderella message board and sending it out to all of our friends...Dance productions studio kids, and all Cinderella contestants. You will earn great money this way and clean out your closets too! The sale will be held at the Lions Club in Harrisburg NC on Friday July 11th and Saturday July 12th. We are going to place banners at the 4th of July parade In Harrisburg for advertisement. The Consigners will receive 75% of their sales and we will split 25% of the sales. This will be a great fundraiser for all of us.

Also, you are invited to ride in the Harrisburg 4th of July parade. The parade will start at 9 am – we will meet at 8 am – meeting location will be posted on the Cinderella message board. Keep an eye out for it. If you plan to ride in the parade, please let us know at Cabarruscindy@aol.com

Congratulations to all of the contestants at state and good luck to the girls going to internationals. I had a lot of fun hanging out with all of my Cindy sisters and making new friends. I can’t wait to see you all again at all of the parties and preliminaries this year. Thanks so much to Tracy, Aimee, Miss Jackie and everyone else that worked so hard to make states such a success, you guys are the greatest. As for everyone on the court with me, I know we are going to have so much fun this year and I can’t wait to spend more time with each of you. I just have a question about the crowning. I thought that Cinderella didn't "double crown" -- but several girls got more than one crown, while others got nothing. Can anybody explain this?

Hey there everyone! Doug here with Magic Moments Video.. I wanted to write everyone and say hello! And yes, the dvd videos ARE AWESOME! Your pageant appeared to be a very exciting pageant. I was so glad to see that your pageant was held with the TOP 5 Format this year. This will better prepare you for the International Pageant in Las Vegas.
Anyway, last week I was at the Tennessee Cinderella State Pageant in Pigeon Forge, TN. But, guess what??? I was with you all as well during your awards banquet.. I was on the cellphone with Pam listening to Mr. Allen call out the winners! Let me also add... GIVE A BIG HAND TO MR.ALLEN! He has got it together! While listening in the other night, I was able to enjoy Mr. Allen's TALENTED emcee abilities while he was announcing your pageant! he has the greatest voice!
Anyway, I want to thank each and every one of you that purchased your dvd's from me! SALES were astronomical and we have almost surpassed last years totals! It is all because of you that this was a great business venture! I really appreciate you so much! I also want to thank Tracy and Aimee for everything! I love you both!
Anyway, the dvd's are gorgeous! Pam and RJ did a wonderful job again! there is just something about this them this year that makes them stand out! It was a great idea to have the pageant filmed from the center instead of the side.. I normally am against filming from the center due to problems with it being a high traffic area.. but it did work wonderfully this year! The girls were all so beautiful!

We're here at home missing Cinderella & our Cinderella family badly! We wish we could be there with you all! I know that you all are having a blast! We wish the best of luck to everyone competing. Hey there everybody! It's just me, Doug here with Magic Moments Video Service, from the other side of the mountains in East Tennessee. I was coming by today to talk about the DVD's for your North Carolina State Pageant in 2008! The DVD's will be available again this year again for your enjoyment. This will make our fourth year at your pageant. As always I am quite sure that it will as exciting as always! Tracy, Aimee, and company always put forth the extra effort to make the pageant the huge success that we have all come to enjoy for all the years in the past! Everything will remain the same this year as far as the DVD's go, with the exception that the VHS format is no longer available on the grand scale, but if you do request VHS, I will still make it available. The price for the DVD's will be $69.95 this year. We will be more than happy to accept Cash or Personal Check for your DVD purchases and I will also be happy to go ahead and accept your payment at this time if you wish to pay early. I accept Paypal, personal check thru the mail. I will mail you a receipt back in the mail. THE ORDER'S FOR THE DVD'S WILL NEED TO BE HANDLED DURING PAGEANT REGISTRATION ONLY PLEASE! This will make is easier for the videographer to conduct the job and not to be disturbed during the filming process. This will make my job a whole lot easier.... THANKS! :) The DVD purchase registration will be set up at the same table with Tracy and Aimee for your convenience and you can take care of it all at the same time.... so ladies... get those green dollar bills and check books ready... LOL! just kidding..:)

Will tickets for all events at the state pageant be for sale at the door. My in-laws are wanting to come and watch but they only want to go to certain events.
