Hi to all. Some of you may know me, and some of you may not. I first was introduced to the NC Cinderella program when I was an emcee about 4 years ago at the international pageant in Las Vegas. In the years since I have started coaching girls is many different states and occassionally will pop on to their boards when I hve somthng that I feel might benefit them. I spoke to Miss Tracy and she said that it would be okay if I passed these thoughts on to you. Below is the most recent posting, and if it is helpful, I will be happy to post the ones from years past. There may also be information on my website www.morethanthecrown.com that could be useful to you. It is always a pleasure to help in anyway that I can.

Now that your state pageant and the international pageant have come and gone, and you are back in school...guess what? It’s time to start preparing for 2008. Woo hoo!!! So I wanted to give you a little insight on what I have noticed to be a cause for results being less than what we would like them to be. FOCUS.
With school, homework, dance and/or singing classes, sports, extra curricular activities, and all of the other things that come up on a day to day basis at this point in your lives, it can sometimes be very difficult to focus on any one thing. Having said that, it is this focus that will move your towards the achievement of your goals much more quickly.
“One reason so few of us achieve what we truly want is that we never direct our focus; we never concentrate our power. Most people dabble their way through life, never deciding to master anything in particular.”
Anthony Robbins (1960- ) Author and motivational speaker
“Focus on your potential instead of your limitations”
Alan Loy McGinnis (1933-2005) Author
The above quotes shouldn’t only inspire, but can help pave the way to find your specific ways to focus and achieve. In the Anthony Robbins quote he speaks of dabbling your way through life. I know at this point in your lives there are so many things that you want to try, and I say try all that you want, but very quickly make a choice as to how relevant this activity is to achieving what you truly want. Alan McGinnis’s quote pretty much says it all. So often we want to be or have things that others are or have, and we don’t focus on all that we have that sets us apart. Focus on your strengths and your potential. Achieve what you want. Set yourself apart.
Just because you choose a particular path, it doesn’t mean that you can’t make changes along the way, or change the path completely, but if you don’t make the choice to focus, at least for the moment, how will you be able to assess if this activity is going to bring you closer to your goal or not?
Thanks to everyone who brought me on to their team. If I can be of help to any of you, it is a pleasure to do so. I think about the Cinderella Scholarship Program all of the time, because through you ladies, it has changed my life.
