There are many small mammals that leave 1/4 inch or less droppings. Since you used the metric system and with your spelling, I will assume that you do not live within the United States.

Most of our work and knowledge is based on nuisance wildlife within the United States, however, some of the same methods can be used to determine what species are causing damage in other countries.

With this said, scat (droppings) alone is not a viable way to determine what species this may be since there may be more than one species living there. Inspecting the outside of the structure for entrance and exit holes along with noise activity can be more helpful. Inspect the entire outer structure for holes, note any noises and the time of day. Be sure to inspect the outside structure very thoroughly in the area of the droppings. Most mammals will leave scat close to the entrance.

For more information, you may contact the Wildlife Conservation Department in your area.

Good Luck,
