A fantastic intoductory album by four young, inexperienced rock 'n' rollers who had no idea that very shortly would change the world forever. Each member shows off his vocal talent individually and as backup as well as instrumentalist. Lennon and McCartney also exploit their growing expertise as songwriters. From the minimal "Love Me Do" and "P.S. I Love You" to the briliant, lyrical and musically progressive "Ask Me Why". Pauls vocals are a bit weak and shakey, Georges are destinctive, Ringo sounds like a man out of his mind and Johns voice is pure beauty.
They show great versatility with rockers such as "Twist ans Shout" and "I Saw Her Standing There", soul with a gorgeous rendering of "Baby Its You" and even the show tune "Taste Of Honey"
