The display window is shining, like a bright lightened stage, everyone is attracted.¡¦ Once you may have fantasized becoming the clothes rack inside the display window, and you enjoy changing into new clothes for each season. Now, FLEA PUPIL invites you to experience the emotions of clothes and body movement with us in the Hong Kong Youth Arts Festival 2005.
¡§DECORATING A CLOTHES-RACK¡¨ is FLEA PUPIL¡¦s premiere experimental theater work. ¡¥One person¡¦s dialogue and two person¡¦s monologues. Two same sex persons, but contrasting fashion styles. Dissimilar altitude, but same desire.¡¦ The clothes-rack¡¦s intimate companion are clothes, however, the clothes are like fascinating petals scattered around the city. Indeed, it is not easy to find fitting clothing, except skin. Human is an inborn "clothes-rack", but not necessarily clothed. Nevertheless, clothes necessitated a ¡§clothes-rack". We are learning and seeking appropriate "clothes" and dress up a "clothes-rack" suitably.
Just like two blushes appearing on a mirror
We glimpse each other¡¦s quivering bodies
Adam ate the Forbidden Fruit without thought, you know
Eve submitted to THAT evil tree, you know
Everything flows within the honesty and shyness of a confrontation
Juices drips inside your eyes, rolling
And you see ¡§THAT Eve¡¨ inside Eve
¡§DECORATING A CLOTHES-RACK¡¨ is trying on clothes with you! Are clothes only clothes?
The program is performed in Cantonese.
