couple things. i'm not trying to start anything, but thought i might point out that you ("disgusted") contradict yourself in your post.
First, you say this:
"Do you really think that the individuals you obsess about or the people close to them waste their time reading the garbage you write?" (yet what you write isn't garbage?)
Then, a complete 180:
"someone will get hurt by this nonsense!"
It is impossible for someone to get hurt by it if they do not read it. So, which is it? Do they read it and get hurt? Or do they not waste their time reading "garbage?"
Next, I was shocked to see someone call Steve an asshole, because he has been nothing but nice to me. However, if someone thinks that he's an asshole, they are entitled to their opinion.
Steve has NEVER at any point mentioned being in a relationship to myself or any of my girlfriends who have spoken with him.
"If you want an honest piece of advice- JUST STOP!" (nobody asked for advice, btw)
And as for people writing on these things, telling people to stop is a lost cause. As someone mildly amused by the gossip, I read the boards from time to time. I don't usually say anything, because I don't know many hockey players, but there is always someone telling the girls they are bitches and to stop writing. Fruitless endeavour. The best to do if it bothers you is not to look at it. Acknowledging the existence of message boards like this one just entice people to write on it more. Rants like that fuel more bitchy cat fights. And nobody was being catty on here, just some girls talking. People have the right to make idle chit chat - nobody is plotting a murder or anything.
I am not the type of person who tells other people (that i don't even know!) what to do. So, I am not going to tell you to calm down, or shut up, or whatever, because it's your life. You can talk about whatever you want.
But, if there is one thing I have learned from these boards, its that nobody has a bad reputation for no reason.
