Subject: Shouldn't they separate the special children from the normal ones?
In reply to: Kaz 's message, "Re: Wow, Karen is really a kiddy person..." on 04:20:17 09/30/06 Sat

I know people say that there's no need to separate or what because they shouldn't be treated differently, but truth is, they are different, and have different needs.
Normal teachers aren't trained to meet these special children's needs, so it's actually just not really helping the child if you *force* them into normal schools...

Anyways, just a rant I've heard my rellies ranting about, so thought I'd chuck it in here...lolz...
Because recently, HK implemented this system of allowing special kids in normal schools, and yet, not providing schools with a support system for these kids!! Which means, the teachers don't know how to deal with these kids, the other children are suffering as the teacher spends most of the time trying to deal with these kids despite not really knowing how to, and the kid isn't really learning anything because the teacher doesn't know how to teach them! >.<

HK government for education is stupid!

What's also stupid, is that they make "special schools" follow the same cirriculum as normal schools...gosh! It's a "special school" for a reason ya know!!

And the parents don't see this either, and thinks it's great that their kid is learning exactly what the normal kids learn...because it makes them seem normal when they should just accept that their kid isn't, and teach them better life skills. What's the point of having them tortured over having to do mathematics when they can't even tie their own shoe laces or do other normal daily living things?
