Subject: Crispin and the Cross of Lead

Crispin and the Cross of Lead is an extraordinary book with many surprises. It starts out with a boy called Asta's son. Asta's son has no mother or father. Everyone in Asta's son's town (Stromford) disrespects him. When Asta's son is accused of stealing from the town steward (John Aclyiffe), he could only run to the town priest: Father Quinnel. Father Quinnel tells Asta's son to abandon his town, and also tells him what his real name is which is Crispin. Father Quinnel had planned on meeting Crispin the next night, but when Crispin arrived at the place Father Quinnel and him were supposed to meet, he finds Father Quinnel lying there with a slit throat. Crispin is then accused of the murder and proclaimed a wolfs head. (considered not human and anyone is free to kill him) Now Crispin has no where to run. With only a mysterious cross of lead by his side there might as well be some secrets that Crispin fears to discover.
