The Janitor's Boy is about a boy named Jack who father happens to be a janitor. One day Jack is angry at his father because kids at his school tease him just because his father is a janitor. So Jack decides to ruin a desk so his dad would have to clean it up. But then the vice head master finds out by smelling Jack's hands and knowing that his hands smelled like the gum. So Jack has to stay after school each day for three weeks and be on gum patrol. But during these three weeks. Jack suddenly finds a room full of keys. So he takes two keys. He uses the first one to go to the roof of the old school. He use the second key to get in to a tunnel. When he closed the door, he had left the key on the outside and the door had to be unlocked from the inside too. So Jack tries to get to the end of the tunnel. At the end of the tunnel, Jack meets a boy named Eddie who knows a lot about his father. So Eddie shows Jack the way out and Jack walks back to school. At the school Jack's father had found out what keys he had stolen but he wasn't angry. At the end Jack finds out more about his father by talking with him. So Jack learns to appercitate his father.
