It was kind of funny how one's distress and the other's success brought them back together; Jesse's heartbreak had driven him to desperate, near-crazy survival methods ( right now it was sleeping in a church pew ) and Annette's triumph in her 'specialty' had earned her enough to fly back home.

The young red-headed male had only just struggled to sit up when he caught sight of that all-too familiar, all-too hated fae kneeling at the altar - oh, of all the people, it had to be his sister who'd shown up. Just as the depressed vampire lowered his head back to the ripped-up cushioning, the girl had rose and moved over, peering over and saying, "My, my... look what the cat dragged in..."
