The smile had been fairly deceptive to him - it appeared to be friendly, an open gesture yet her body said otherwise. Was she cold? Or did she simply want him to go away? He really had no idea and thus toned down everything, confused by her actions and yet intrigued at the same time. Noting the lack of verbal response from her, he felt even more awkward. Hell, maybe she was mute or something - and he mustn't be intolerant and all. A bit shakily, he held out his hand as an offer of conciliation, and perhaps to also break the ice. "I'm Jianson, by the way."
