Well, I've tried to imagine. And you know what a picture popped up? Marc clad as a vampire (well, whatever that might be like, maybe the Ruby Red video - I know what you're thinking!) bares his teeth (close-up, gold and diamond glistening, eyes rolled up)... then waves his hand and bursts out laughing, "how sincere do you want me to look?!" IOW, I can't imagine him as any kind of dark creature. Too much humour to be evil;-)

Sir Ian McKellen announced Marc's PA in SF (July 2001) calling him the Elf King, as I was told by an eyewitness...

Of Plunkett/Macleane, I'd prefer Robert Carlyle. And The Tiger Lillies:-)
