For future reference, flesh, salt and roll up for 24 hours. After the first day, shake out the excess salt and resalt for another 24 hours. When rollong the hide up, place it in a cool dark spot on a slight incline such as a 2x6 raised on the end. After 48 hours of salting, you should be fine. The extra salting will draw out fluids in the hide that will be replaced in the rehydrating process by your chemicals in the solution. If your badger is slipping in your pickle, then mark it up to needing more time salting. If it doesn't slip, then remember next time that 48 is better than 28 hours. Good Luck!
