Subject: Attention: All 10.5w car owners Please Read!

I've talked it over with a few guys already, but I want everyone's input. I'm going to try and take the step in creating an organization, which will put on a 10.5w race once a month at a track in MS for some decent pay without a big entry fee. I want to get as many guys together as I can, so that I can get everyone's input on rules, payouts, structure, etc.

I know that there are a couple races that are put on a month that have $800 to $1000 payouts with no or a small entry fee. I feel that I can get enough sponsors together to increase the payout a bit, plus get a small entry that can pay a decent, but respectable purse. I want to get everyone's opinion on this, and plus set up a meeting later on to get everyone's point of view. But for now, I want everyone to give their point of view now on this message board by posting responses. If I go to get sponsors together, I have to have my stuff together, and I will not go to any sponsors without knowing we can have some stucture, rules, and a decent car count. I will also not go to any track owner without having this information either. I want the rules to be as fair as possible, I want some good track conditions, I want some decent pay, but I want to have a place to go race at that is structured so we can ultimately have some fun!

I feel that with your support that I can go to sponors, and get a decent amount of money to put toward the purse. All money from sponsors, and all money from entry will go directly to the purse. I repeat, I want this to be an organization, so I will not benefit monetarily from this in any way. I will not be renting the track, I will not be receiving any money from the gate or anyone, but I will just be helping, along with you guys, to have a decent race at a decent track.

I want to try and see if we can get enough sponsors to throw on a race once a month from around April to October or November.

Guys, I really want to race in MS some, as Mike, my dad, my family, and I race a lot of weekends in other states, because we have no decent structure or rules to race at around here. No offense to anyone.

I want everyone's opinion, so please, speak your peace, and your mind. But, let's keep this clean, because if it gets out of hand now, there is no need in trying to get it started. I don't want to waste my time trying to get all this stuff going, if no one wants to do this either. I love racing. I definitely love outlaw 10.5 racing, and I definitely want to attend some races in our home state.

I have come up with some preliminary rules that are not too strict, so you guys give me your opinion, and we will go from there.

OUTLAW 10.5 Rules

Backhalf cars running a maximum tire size of 33 10.5w. No big et streets, or street tires. Firewall backhalf cars are allowed. Only door slammers allowed (no rails or altereds). As long as you have stock front frame rails, meet the weight requiremnt for your combination, and run the maximum rear tire combination, then your car is LEGAL! Cars that have their motors moved back are legal.

All turbo combinations (Big Block or Small Block) 3,000lbs
All blower or supercharger combinations (Big Block or Small Block) 3,000lbs
All big chief big block motors with nitrous 3,000lbs
All Big Block Conventional Headed motors with nitrous 2,800lbs
All small block nitrous cars 2,700lbs

If any car chooses to run no power adder, then he/she will run at for example:
naturally aspirated bbc with big chiefs 3,000lbs
naturally aspirated small block cars 2,700lbs
naturally aspirated bbc with conventional heads 2,800lbs
It is too hard to regulate if someone is hiding nitrous or not, so the naturally aspirated cars will run at the weight as the same motor combination that runs a power adder.

Multiple power adders allowed, but must weigh 3,000lbs. For example, a small block blower car with nitrous must weigh 3,000lbs

Track rules, staging rules, etc will have to be worked out by all of us.

But, there should be a 7 second rule once both cars have pre-staged. The second rule will be, once both cars have pre-staged, and one of the cars completely stages, then the other car has 7 seconds to get in, or they are disqualifed with a red light. If a car double bulbs (turning both lights on before the other car prestages), then the 7 second rule does not go into effect. There should be courtesy staging, which means one car prestages, the other prestages, and then both cars stages.

Also deep staging will be/should be allowed.

Guys give me you input. We all have to work together to make this work.

Also, I have sat down and counted the number of cars that run in MS that have 10.5w tires, so we should be able to get enough car count to get this on the road. I have counted the follwing cars. Mike Brown, Charles Hays, Tommy Kelly, Gunslanger, Bobby Cole, Martin Shows, Gadget, Gigalo, Kyle, Mark Pritcher, Dennis Sweat (June), Stan Allen, Erin Cheffer's old car (the red chevelle malibu), and I know that there are others. If I spelled your name wrong, or if I left your name out, then I'm sorry. But guys, please contact everyone you know that runs a 10.5w tire, so that we can get everyone's input.

Feel free to call me at any time at 601-218-3848. If you don't get me, leave a voicemail with your number, and I will get back with you.
