My brother and his family are staying with us. My mom and sister-in-law are in Texas. My mom's house was flooded and has roof damage. We know her house will need to be gutted. There is mold all over her stuff. My grandma also has roof damage. She has three holes in her roof but no water leaked into the house. I am just playing things by ear right now. We have much work ahead of us. Jefferson Parish has a 6 p.m curfew and I am not sure when that will be lifted. Slowly the parish is getting back into order. I have spoken to Rebecca about me not attending the pageant. I know if the curfew is still in effect for Oct. 9th then I will not be able to attend b/c I will not be able to get home. Me attending also depends on my family. They come first. My mom will need help to make her house livable again. I feel so lucky though b/c we still have our family and our homes. I feel so bad for the people of Plaquemines Parish (my home town). Port Suplur and beyond is destroyed. So people will not even have their land to return to b/c the river now flows there. I never thought I would have seen this type of Hurricane in my life time.

I hope all are safe. Hopefully I can attend Oct. 9th to give up my title to see you again.
