A couple of days ago I was where you are now. I am a novice, but with the help of Mike I was able to install the program and get it working.

When you say you installed it, do you mean that you followed the directions in the README.HTML file and uploaded CARP to the server?

It sounds as though you have not yet done that. You must do that first and follow the instructions in the README.HTML file and then the instructions in the installation assistant. If you are doing a manual install you will have to contact tech help for your web host and ask them to make the necessary code changes as advised by the installation assistant.

Once it is installed, then you take the code that is displayed in the installation assistant and (if you have FrontPage) you must first into notepad and then into your web page on the FrontPage program. If you do not first paste the code into notepad, FrontPage will change the code when it is pasted directly.
