I'm trying to do the following:
CarpLoadPlugin('replacetext.php');
ReplaceTextConf(1,'url',1,'/^http:\/\/rds.yahoo.com(.*)\*-/','');

The idea is to get the yahoo urls cleaned up so that
http://rds.yahoo.com/S=7675309/*-http%3A//www.newspage.com/mld/article.htm
turns into
http%3A//www.newspage.com/mld/article.htm

When I try this, all of my urls disappear.

I tried something silly like:
ReplaceTextConf(1,'desc',1,'/^(.*)wedding/','funeral');
and ended up losing my descriptions.

What am I doing wrong here?

I put up a php page with the following code:

$myurl = 'http://rds.yahoo.com/S=7675309/*-http%3A//www.newspage.com/mld/article.htm';
$new = preg_replace('/^http:\/\/rds.yahoo.com(.*)\*-/','test',$myurl);
echo $new;

and it works fine.
