The other girl had came up to me and swung at me first while I was on my way to the bathroom. I am right handed and I was drinking.....my first reaction was to start swinging back. I didn't stop to think to put the beer bottle down that I had in my hand. Therefore, I hit her with it. So now they tell me that I'm not allowed back into the bar until May. I've been going to this bar for over a year now and have never caused any trouble. I don't even know the girl that I got into a fight with. All I'm saying is that when we're all partying and drinking we're not going to always make the best decisions. I think 6 months of not being able to go to the bar is quite harsh considering I was acting in self-defense. From what I know the other girl is still allowed back in the bar and that's not right. Rather then asking me or others what happened and trying to figure out what was going on they just kicked me out and told me I couldn't go back til May. I would like some justification and trust me if you were at all familiar with the situation I think it would be a different story. I have friends that come from back home to visit me all the time and we always go to your bar because we have such a great time. Nobody really like to go to Ira's or any other bar so I guess my question is.....am I gonna have to go elsewhere or can this be resolved?
