The heart of the lazer printer is a small rotating drum. PARTS OF LAZER PRINTER: Any printer that uses EP(electro_photographic) process contain and standard assemblies. these assemblies are: 1: the tonar cartidge 2: lazer scanning assembly 3: dc power supply 4: paper transport assembly THE TONAR CARTIDGE: The tonar cartidge is a black carbon substance mixed with polyester resists and iron oxide particles.tonar contain a medium called the developer that the carries the tonar until it is used by the EP process. the tonar cartidge also contain the EP print drum. this drum is coated with photosensitive material. LAZER SCANNING ASSEMBLY: When the lazer scanning assembly shines on particular areas of photosensitive drum, the drum discharge but only in that area. as the drum rotates,the lazer scanning assembly scans the lazer across the photosensitive drum. DC POWER SUPPLY: The high voltage used in the EP process can not power the other component in the printer. the components require low voltage between +5vdc and +24dc . the DC power supply convert house current in to three voltage, +5dc, and -5vdc for the logic circuitary and +24vdc for the paper transport motors. PAPER TRANSPORT ASSEMBLY: Paper transport assembly is responsible for moving the paper through the printer.it contain of a motor and several robberized that each perform a different functions. feeed color , shaped roler , registeration roler , fuze rolers NOW I CAN DISCUSS THE INK JET PRINTER INK JET PRINTER: Ink jet printer is the type of the printers. there are different parts in inkjet printer 1:ink nozel 2:print head 3:piezo electric crystal 4:vertical and horizantal deflection plates 5:vovles INK NOZEL: Inkjet printer uses small droplets of ink to print text and graphics on paper.the inkjet printer spray the ink on the page instead of using an inked ribbon. an inkjet print head has dozen of nozels through which ink is jetted(fired) on to the paper. PRINT HEAD: The print head of a contineous flow inkjet printer is fired in place and the paper is back and forth under the print head.this prevents the ink from being splash about, which would happen , if the head were moved. PIEZO ELECTRIC CRYSTAL: Piezo electric, one or two drop on demand inkjet approch operates as fellows. as the print head moves over the paper,a piezo electric crystal in each nozel is changed with electricity ,which makes the crystal expand. as the crystal expand, it fires a droplet of ink, which is maller the the width of human hair. so,instead of head inkjet printer apply an electric charge to piezo electric srystal inside the cardige nozal.
