I, too, had a very hard time listening to Dan's music. I decided two days before Christmas to try "Souvenirs" which went fairly well until Gambler, then I lost it. Yes, there sure was a place in this world for Dan, and he filled it so well. I don't think anyone could have fulfilled his purpose in life as well as Dan did. The words! Every single piece of music he wrote is attached emotionally to some aspect of my life or the times in which I lived. So many people have said, "He wrote the soundtrack of my life," and it's so true. How blessed we were to be the age we were at the right time for Dan to inform such a huge part of our history.

Diney Boo--I saw you quoted in the PJStar stating that you want only Dan's music at your funeral (long in the future we hope). I told my kids that last summer; I've even written down the songs I want played. My whole life could be summed up using DF music. Who will write the score for the rest of it?
