Subject: Working on a song, but my rhyming sucks...

This feels so familiar,
I know I've been here before,
Always a one-sided conversation
When life speaks no more.

I can look back
And see your face turning away from me
But when acknowlegment ceased
I turned to misery.

Being alone,
Washing time with memory,
Hope is shown
In a vague melody.

And now there's another dark figure
Up on a pedestal preaching
These words don't touch me completely
But I can see they're reaching.

I can't stop these visions
And I'm not sure if that's what I want
But with each unanswered question
Your phrases start to taunt.
